What is AGOG?
The word agog means full of excitement.
I was also
able to take the word and turn it into an acronym for A Geek on Games. Wordplay. Boom.
Agog is how I feel about games, movies, comics and all of the stuff that is so much cooler now that I’m an adult than it was when I was a kid. Sure, I thought it was cool back then, but what did I know. When I saw the graphics for the first Legend of Zelda, I thought, "holy crap, it doesn't get better than this", but boy was I wrong.
See, I’m something
of a geek. I love games despite being terrible
at them. I also like comics, fantasy, science fiction, and all of the other nerdy and
geeky goodness that this world has to offer.
I love it so damned much that I
even write some of it.
What Does the Blog Cover?
Well, games
and my misadventures playing them, mostly. However, I don’t want to limit to be
just about games. I think it could get rather boring if I do. I want to talk
about movies, and movie rumors, comic books and more. If it’s geeky, I will
probably write about it at some point.
Keep in mind
that I’m also a writer – it’s what I do for a living and to attempt to pay the bills. So, there will be the
occasional post when I have a new project on the horizon or when something cool
happens. Don’t worry though, because cool and I only get together on the rarest
of occasions.
Keep this in mind too. Even though I am a writer, you will find the occasional typo here. I'll try to keep them to a minimum.
Are You Honestly Bad at Games?
Unfortunately,
I am terrible, even though I give it my best. Are there others out there who
are worse than I am? I’m sure there are… I just don’t think I've run into too
many of them.
Are You a Basement Dwelling Virgin?
No, of course
not. If I were, I’d be better at games.
What Was Your First Gaming System?
The first
console was old Intellivison that we had when I was around five or six. I
barely remember it, but I do remember really wanting the Advanced Dungeons and
Dragons game that came out for it.
What Do You Use Currently?

Right now, I'm mostly on the PS4 and the 360. I will probably get an Xbone eventually as well.
That's right. I'm a console gamer and proud of it. Yes, I know that things are supposed to be so much better on PC, but gaming on a PC (and the constant upgrades) just never really appealed to me.
I enjoy the simplicity of the consoles. To each their own.
